    Features
Ensures a completely leak-free seal when subjected to the full rated pressure.
Only two components—the seat and the disc—are wetted by the medium.
Ideally suited for applications where the flow medium is abrasive or erosive.
Designed with a replaceable cartridge seat. The seat is formed by a reinforced backing ring with the elastomer vulcanized to it. When the valve is installed between pipe flanges, this sturdy seat stays firmly in place, resisting any distortion or shifting. The cartridge configuration also avoids common issues such as elastomer stretching or bending in front of the disc during operation.
A broad range of material options is available.
A standardized actuator mounting flange is provided, allowing operators to be easily interchanged.
Side thrust loads are handled by a top bushing.
Preloaded contact between the flattened seat surface and the disc hub creates the hub seal, delivering reliable sealing regardless of disc position.
The disc and stem are formed as a single, wafer-thin unit that creates minimal flow resistance.
The seat can be replaced in the field, effectively separating the body and stem from the flow medium.
Molded-in O-rings take care of flange sealing, making separate gaskets unnecessary.
Universal mounting flange: The actuator flange is integrally cast and conforms to ISO 5211 dimensions, enabling it to accept a full array of operators—including 10-position handle kits, gear operators, electric actuators, and pneumatic actuators.

    Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the cartridge seat design advantageous in a wafer butterfly valve?
The replaceable cartridge seat consists of a reinforced backing ring with a vulcanized elastomer. When installed between pipe flanges, it stays firmly in place, preventing distortion or shifting. This design also eliminates common problems like elastomer stretching or bending in front of the disc during operation, and allows the seat to be replaced in the field without removing the entire valve body.
Which seat materials are available, and how do I choose the right one?
Available seat materials include EPDM, NBR, Buna, Viton, PTFE, Hypalon, Silicone, and Neoprene. The selection depends on your media type, temperature range, and chemical compatibility. For example, EPDM is ideal for water and steam applications, Viton suits aggressive chemicals, and PTFE is preferred for high-purity or corrosive media.
What pressure ratings does this wafer butterfly valve support?
The valve is rated for PN10, PN16, 150 PSI, 200 PSI, and Class 150. It conforms to face-to-face dimensions per API609, EN593, EN558-1 Series 20, DIN3202 K1, and ISO5752, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of piping systems and international standards.
Is this valve compatible with electric and pneumatic actuators?
Yes. The actuator mounting flange is integrally cast and conforms to ISO 5211 dimensions, making it compatible with a full range of operators including 10-position handle kits, gear operators, electric actuators, and pneumatic actuators. This standardized interface ensures easy interchangeability without additional adapters.
What industries and applications is this valve suitable for?
This wafer butterfly valve is suitable for a broad range of industries, including HVAC, Water Supply & Sewage, Food & Beverage, Chemical and Petrochemical Processing, Power and Utilities, Paper and Pulp, and Marine applications. Its wide material selection makes it adaptable to both clean and aggressive media.
How does the hub seal work, and why is it reliable?
The hub seal is created through preloaded contact between the flattened seat surface and the disc hub. This design ensures a consistent and reliable seal regardless of the disc's position during operation. Combined with molded-in O-rings that handle flange sealing, the valve eliminates the need for separate gaskets and significantly reduces potential leak points.
